Charlesworth's wholly owned subsidiary company Charlesworth (Beijing) Information Services Co Ltd (formerly Beijing Charlesworth Software Development Company - BCSD) began trading in May 1999 with five members of staff. It was originally formed to provide services which would complement those offered through Charlesworth in the UK.

The Company has expanded year on year, which will continue to increase significantly in the coming year. The range of services has also developed to be more comprehensive, tailored to the specific needs of STM publishers.

All our staff are English-speaking graduates with experience of working with English-language publications.

The continued expansion in Charlesworth's Chinese operations led to a second office opening just outside Beijing in early 2008, creating further capacity for high quality, low cost typesetting, data capture and conversion services. In addition, the Rights and Licensing team continues to expand in China, the UK and USA to service growing demand.

Charlesworth China is managed by both English and Chinese staff based in Beijing, and by Directors based in the UK who visit on a regular basis.
