Experienced Account Executive / Customer Service Representative

Based at: Wakefield (When appropriate working away from or located at other sites as required to meet the needs of the business)

Reporting to: Commercial Director

Job Role: To provide excellent customer service to our customers, developing a strong working relationship and detailed account knowledge to enable you to grow the account through more work and take up of additional services.

The Candidate: The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in an Account Executive / Customer Service role gained from a print manufacturing environment
  • Excellent knowledge of litho and digital print production, preferably to include experience of publications such as books and journals
  • The ability to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • A working knowledge of the Tharstern MIS system
  • The ability to communicate at all levels and work well within a team
  • Experience of estimating would be beneficial
  • The ability to identify potential opportunities to develop accounts, e.g. in order to increase their turnover or offer alternatives to improve the services provided
  • Willingness to learn new skills and undertake job related training
  • A positive and proactive attitude

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service for all accounts assigned
  • Processing orders in an accurate and timely manner to production and ensuring the customer requirements are being met by production
  • Develop excellent working relationship with customer to ensure we are fully aware of their expectations, liaise regularly with production to ensure that these are relayed through the company
  • Identifying any potential issues and raising the matter with Production/Commercial Director as required, following though to ensure the matter is fully resolved with optimum focus on customer satisfaction
  • Ensuring all work is processed with an agreed pricing structure with the customer, checking that all charges are invoiced. This will include preparation of invoicing through our MIS system
  • Meet with customer on a regular basis to identify ways we can improve our service and ensure they are aware of all the potential services we can provide
  • Working as a team with other CSRs to provide cover for their accounts as required
  • Assist with technologically innovative projects to automate order processing, tracking and invoicing of work. Liaising with customers to ensure development and implementation are seamless
