How is the quality of the service ensured?
We only use editors who are native English-speakers with a background in your subject area and experience with editing scientific papers, both for Charlesworth and other organisations. Our UK-based editors are members of the Society for Proof Readers and Editors. The Charlesworth Group is also accredited to the ISO 9001 quality standard.

How long will the process take?
The process length will vary depending on the level of service required, the standard of the language in the paper, the length of the paper itself, and the quantity of editor queries. We aim to deliver the polished paper within 10 days for an average article and 5 day for a fast-track job.

How is my information kept confidential and secure?
All papers and personal information are kept on secure servers to ensure maximum protection for yourself and your co-authors. All of our editors are also bound by non-disclosure agreements regarding the content of academic papers.

How do I submit my paper?
There will be a Paper Submission Form added to the web site shortly so papers can be uploaded directly to the server. In the meantime, please email any enquiries regarding submission of papers to languagepolishing@charlesworth.com.cn.

How do I request a quote?
In order to receive a quote, please email languagepolishing@charlesworth.com.cn to receive a Paper Submission Form. Once you have filled in the form and submitted your article, our reviewers will evaluate the cost and provide you with a price.

An online Paper Submission Form will shortly be added to the web site so that all transactions can be dealt with directly through the web site.

How do I pay for the service?
We do ask that payment is made when the paper is submitted. Once a quote has been provided we will send you payment details. We will shortly be able to accept payment via the web site. Work will commence once payment is received.

What are the qualifications of your editors?
All of our editors are native English-speakers and have experience in the relevant field to the papers they are working on. They are all educated to degree level or above.

What type of papers are covered by the service?
We accept all academic papers from the Science, Technology and Medical (STM) fields.

Is there anything I need to prepare before I submit my paper?
Please follow instructions for authors as closely as possible for your chosen journal.
