HAMMONDS Launches Short Run Book Binding Service

2013 looks set to be another very positive year for Wakefield-based Hammond Bindery. Following investment in equipment and human resources during 2012, Hammonds has launched a specialist fast turnaround, short run book binding service for trade printers.

Ideal for perfect binding digitally printed runs of up to 500 copies such as books, magazines and brochures, the bindery can produce the finished item from the printer's collated book blocks.

I am delighted with the way Hammonds continues to grow and evolve to meet the constantly changing demands of the printers we serve. With print runs particularly for books decreasing, we wanted to ensure that Hammonds was equipped to provide services appropriate to these requirements.

Ongoing investment is being made to enable us to offer new and continuously improved services, and I look forward to making further announcements in the coming months.

In addition to creating this streamlined short run binding service, Hammonds has also invested in updating saddle stitching equipment and added a further MBO folder during the last six months.

Accredited to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, Hammonds is one of the North's leading book binders and print finishers serving printers across Yorkshire and Humberside, the North East, North West, Midlands and beyond, with facilities for binding anything from 5 copies to 100,000 copies.
