Charlesworth Technology Event Receives Excellent Reviews

Publishing and printing services provider The Charlesworth Group has received excellent delegate reviews on its technology information event, held at the Institute of Materials in London on 30th June 2010.

Attended by executives from over forty high-profile publishers from the scientific, scholarly and public sectors, Charlesworth organised this 'Focus on Technology' event to provide an opportunity for delegates to gain further information on new technologies and workflow solutions. The seminar was presented by senior members of Charlesworth's team, using their experience and expertise in providing customised publishing solutions and printing services to journal and book publishers.

Following the seminar, the presentations were highly rated in feedback forms both for the knowledge the delegates gained and the delivery of the information, with many delegates requesting that similar events be held in future.

When asked an opinion on how useful the seminar had been:

Really excellent. Stephen (Laverick) explaining ePub and demystifying the technologies and concepts - very good... lots of really interesting points of view, different workflows etc... I enjoyed it - the group was small and comfortable - nicely informal gathering of people with differing needs and levels of expertise... Excellent day - thank you!

-- Jenny Henderson, Associate Director of Nature Publishing Group

In another response:

Extremely useful, I wish there were more events like this. The morning sessions on xml and auto-proofing were very interesting... It was great to hear about the services Charlesworth offer, but I also liked that it wasn't the whole focus of the day. It was useful to hear how others are doing in the field and that not everyone believes in the death of print!
