HAMMONDS Launch New PUR Perfect Bookbinding Service

As a long-established trade book binder and print finisher, Wakefield-based Hammond Bindery is delighted to offer a PUR perfect bookbinding service - for the very first time!

Combined with other comprehensive print finishing services such as saddle stitching, wiro binding, spiral binding, section sewing, case binding, and short run binding for digital print, HAMMONDS now offer the full package.

Running the full width of the bindery, the newly installed 18-station Kolbus Ratio Binder KM473 means that PUR and perfect binding can now be completed in half the time, and at much improved pricing, especially for longer run work.

The ability to offer PUR binding was a key part of our business strategy, enabling us to better serve the needs of our existing customers and help us to build relationships with new clients. Since the new binder's installation late last year, we have already seen a lot of interest in our PUR services with enquiries coming in from all corners of the UK.

Another key priority is to continue to provide a truly superior customer experience. With this in mind, all clients are allocated a dedicated Account Manager as their single point of contact throughout the production process, with the Bindery team on hand to give expert technical advice should the client need it. To resolve the problem of logistics for its clients, Hammonds now even offers a collection and delivery service.

The company remains competitive in its other binding and print finishing services from folding sections from flat sheets and perfect binding, to saddle stitching, wiro and spiral binding, section sewing, case binding, and short run binding for digital print.

Accredited to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, Hammonds is one of the North's leading book binders and print finishers serving printers across Yorkshire and Humberside, the North East, North West, Midlands and beyond, with facilities for binding anything from 5 copies to 100,000 copies.
