Charlesworth Launches New 'Product' at Technologies Information Event

Publishing and printing services provider The Charlesworth Group has launched its latest innovation, C-Print+ at an event attended by many high-profile publishers at the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining in London on 30th June 2010.

C-Print+ is a new Charlesworth-developed system which aims to achieve time and cost savings for clients by streamlining production processes and reducing administration. The technology offers the convenience of online ordering of publications, reprints etc., but also many more benefits than just web to print including transparency through real-time tracking, automated email alerts at various milestones, and an allocated account executive should assistance be required during the process. The system creates efficiencies by providing invoicing, payment collection and management information, all through a bespoke client branded interface.

Charlesworth demonstrated the application of C-Print+ technology in the final session of their recent Focus on Technology event which was attended by over forty publishing executives from the scientific, scholarly and public sector organisations. Case studies of two client projects were shown to delegates, demonstrating how the system can be applied for differing applications.

Having identified a need for greater knowledge, we decided to hold a seminar day to encourage better understanding of the latest technologies and show how organisations can benefit from the tangible savings in time and costs that these new technologies can offer, for both print and electronic publications. The fact that the event was oversubscribed confirms our belief that there is a real interest in making better use of technology within the publishing sector.
